I was lucky enough to get a text from my friend who runs a Llama Farm....grabbed the AF100 with a Nikon 18-105mm lens and a shouldermount...jumped in the truck and headed out to film the birth of a llama!

Healthy little boy llama! He was up and nursing in about 15 minutes...pretty cool.

What, you don't see this every day???

No, you're right- pretty cool! Gonna edit a video of it? Slider shots of the baby sliding out?

Dang, that thing looks like it had its insides sucked out with a hose...it's so tiny and skinny! Great timing...and the grabs look great.

Here's a quick...short version of the birth (it was a 3 hour process). I've been shooting for a documentary on the farm, this will be a great addition to the final product.
Sorry groveChuck, just shouldermount, run & gun shots.... trying to stay out of the way and still get a shot.

For the techies:
Just adjusted levels a bit as this was just for the llama folks to see until I've finished the project.
I'm more of a tripod/slider shooter... like the more controlled type of shots.
