here's a slo-mo clip!

if any of you have Final Cut Pro, open this clip up with that instead of Quicktime - you'll see a big difference. someone posted here that there is a gamma bug in Quicktime. i've gone back and viewed all my H.264 versions and they look MUCH better in FCP - check for out...
 
Also guys, please remember, this is from mxf to DVCproHD to h.264... that's some gen loss. I can tell just by looking at the DVCproHD that the h.264 has lost some definition.
 
Yes please, I agree w/ your sarcasm Joe. Can someone please go outside w/ a tripod and take a properly exposed and composed shot of something busy in 480, 720, 1080..

And here is a message to all of you that currently own an HVX and frequent these forums,

YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY, being members of this community, TO PROVIDE US WITH EXCELLENT IMAGES, with info accompanying each shot for our evaluation.

THIS IS NOT A CHOICE, if you frequent these boards and own this thing then you also bought the title of HVX PIONEER. If you don't feel confident in taking some decent images, don't announce that you own the HVX...come to think of it, why'd you buy it in the first place?
 
and/pr, the dude in the store was nice enough to let us shoot me jumping with the floor model and take the footage home with us. I'm sure he'd love it if we took HIS camera out of the store.

yea i just bought CO wide lens for a pretty decent price from there a couple of weeks ago. I'll most definately shop or rent there again.
