Here comes the bride - gotta love that 35mm/4.1 Samyang/Rokinon

Dark Side of the Camera
My brother in law got married, so being a DP .... you know what that means.

Anyway,
I shot most of that wedding with the 35/1.4 Samyang/Rokinon/Walminex, whatever they call it.
Man I really love how the FS100 works together with this glass.

Make sure you set the video to 1080p

Did you struggle keeping focus, did you lose a lot of footage to soft focus??? Were you using an external monitor?

@MattDavis Thanks Matt. Actually I was surprised, that it looks better on Youtube than on Vimeo.

@kraut: I´m using a TVLogic monitor - the excellent peaking helps a lot. That plus keeping it around f4 most of the time.

@AndyInBuffalo they are not decklicked - and the filter diameters are different.

@Rain Man All my glass is Nikon or Zeiss (vintage medium format) mount, except the kit lens of course. The adapter brand is "Kiwi".
Pretty decent adapter for 40 bucks with an aperture ring. I actually hate that ring, cause I often hit it incidentally. Oh well, live and learn.
After having some light leaks (release lever) and reflections inside of the adapter, I lined it with some black muslin, that acts as a light trap - works great now.

I got a ton of requests for more material from that wedding.
The whole thing is almost 30 minutes, but I´m gonna bolt some "best of" together, if I have some time on my hands.

I'm a fan of the :08 clip, but you can see that same image quality throughout the "bolted" together edit... NICE WORK!!!!!!

Thanks man, I wish I could have used my tripod and a reflector though.
But as a one man band on a wedding, you have to move fast. All hand held and at available light.
