I've read all the stickies and whatnot, and my budget isn't that much of an issue. But here is all I need.
I will be shooting some shorts, indoors, with maybe 2-3 people talking, at the most. I will be shooting it gonzo/documentary style.
I don't know enough about film making and editing right now, I am just learning the basics.
I don't want to use my T3I rebel's onboard audio, but I am not dropping 2k on audio either. Maybe when I have some skills or I know what I'm doing.
I thought maybe buying a Video Mic Pro and just using that for a few months till I know what I'm doing and I've saved up more money. Or maybe buying some G3's (but 2 is 600 bucks).
I don't care THAT much about the production quality of these shorts. Right now I only want to see if our ideas are funny or not. I was going to just buy the videomic pro and use it for a while and then sell it once I level up in skills.
I wanted to buy Lavs, but 2 is 600 bucks and I may need up to 4. Yowzers.
Many of you are probably thinking, what's your point? I guess what I am trying to do, is have speed on my side. I want to be able to shoot as much as I can in the shortest amount of time. No multiple cameras, boom operators, etc.
