For those familiar with www.helpmegetag5.com, that guy has been given $4600+ so far, and thus I felt the only way to channel my disbelief was to create a shot-for-shot parody. So, allow me to present:

The friend I used bares a striking resemblance I'd say, and I definitely think I one-upped him with the lowbrow college humor at the end. Anyway, just thought this might amuse those familiar with the site, I'd love to get some feedback on my mediocre production work.

If PayPal charges 30 cents per transaction, what happens if everyone starts donating a nickel to the helpmegetag5.com guy? Would that allow us to save the life of the G4?
 
haha the only conceivable flaw in that logic is that the guy has probably already reached his goal a few times over, and now is just seeing how long he can milk it. which may inadvertantly mean the G4 is safe, but also just sitting in his closet.

which begs the question, which is the greater tragedy- violent murder, or permanent psychological captivity? that G4 could become the next terry shiavo!
 
I figured it was possibly the other way around -- that he set the counter only a few hundred dollars away from his goal in order to encourage people to donate the funds that actually hit the $5,000 mark. Also, with a nice explosion from Arbeats he can "blow up" the G4 and sell it on ebay at the same time!

Forget filmmaking. I'm off to make a web site!
