ok, so a while back my camera just up and stoped working. It only works with the adapter, but not with my batteries. so i got a new charger and a new battery. still same thing. what would cause my camera to work with the adapter from the charger but not with a brand new fully charged battery? Could it be the internal battery? im lost. im going to look for a shop but would love some info if anyone has any ideas.
 
Is there some sort of menu setting i might have accadentally siwitched to make this happen? I would really like to find a solution or at least what the problem is before i attempt sending it to a repair shop. I dont have any sort of warranty so im not aware of my options as far as certified shops.
 
when you are powering it up, are you plugging in into the input jack or are you using the "battery" adapter. if you're plugging into the jack and not using the slide in battery, then maybe you've damaged the metal connectors the battery comes into contact with? if thats not the case, i'm not sure. sorry.
 
Is your new battery Panasonic? Some 3d party batteries have their contacts just a bit too deep preventing reliable connection. The "paddle" is the same as a battery from the camera end. If it works with a "paddle" it should work with a battery.
