I am using on board sound for everything, and when I export from Premier Pro, or when I listen to certain sounds from a program like fruity loops, I hear static with certain frequencys. It sounds like it clipping. It doesnt seem to be caused by the level. Because it happens at only a few spots here and there. But always the same spots. The original music from a wav file sounds fine, I have tried different export settings for audio. Doesn't seem to help.

I installed a soundblaster audigy, and its drivers, but I am getting the same thing. I am going crazy here.

By "on board sound" are you referring to the on-camera microphone, or are you monitoring your audio post-production using an on-board sound card?

What signal path is resulting in the distorted sound you're experiencing? Where is the effected sound coming from, and under which playback conditions are you hearing it?

Have you verified that your sample rates are staying consistant throughout? I'm not too familiar with Premier Pro, but older versions would try to convert 44.1 kHz audio to 48 kHz audio during playback in realtime. This would cause occastional stutters and short bursts of static during playback.
