Help!

I am posting here also, because I don't know how many people look at the post in the other forum.

Ok, I really need your help. I need a shot, or a CG animation of a security camera becoming active. It only needs to be 2 sec. long, but it's a major need. If anyone has something like this please PM me asap! Thanks.

wtf? why would someone do a CG animation of a security camera. just go into an office building and shoot it yourself.

No need to spam the forums. Post in one place.

Justin is right, a practical shot is probably the easiest way to do this -- then be creative with text, timecode, interlace and whatever other bells you can add in your NLE.

Find a security camera somewhere, preferablyw ith that classic red LED.
Shoot it and have them turn on the LED (plug in a wire) .. or find one with a blinking LED and jsut sue still frames.

Ok, well, thanks, I meant a shot of the camera, not the camera POV.

This is cakey. You can steal that shot at a mall or just about anywhere in DC or London.

yeah but it wont look like its coming on. I would help but I dont have time since I have been living at work working on 5 animations for a presentation the 29th.
If i had the time i would probably have it at an idle position and then the light comes on and it quickly turns to look at something and have the iris and focus elements move in a snap after it turns like its focusing on something. Sort of like if its an automatic gun torrent that has found a target.

Yeah, that's how I envisioned it, but I'll have to use a still for now. I'm not very skilled at the animation/SFX thing.

well if i can, during the long renders i can try to whip it up. Im posting now because im rendering...it will be near the end of Jan though so maybe put an alternate in case.
