Help!!!

Someone let me borrow their FC Studio 5 set to instal but he gave me the wrong serial and lost the real one. When I tried the one he gave me it said licensing file corrupted. I just deleted all the apps. Today, I decided to go ahead and just buy FC Studio 2. I just finished installing everything. Every single time I open any of the Final Cut Studio applications, it asks for my name, organization and serial. I put in the info every time and it proceeds to open the application but I thought I only had to do that once? Is there a file left on my hard drive telling it to do that?

Go to the following location in Finder: System Drive/Library/Application Support/Pro Apps.

Delete the File: Final Cut Studio System ID.

Next step...

Deleting FCP Preferences:

Open a Finder window. Set the view mode to columns:

Click the house icon that has your name next to it.
Click the folder "Library" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Preferences" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Final Cut Pro User Data" in the next column.

Move the files "Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs", "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" and "Final Cut Pro Prof Cache" to the Trash and empty it.

Launch Final Cut Pro, you will be asked to enter your serial #, hopefully for the last time.

Try that.

Strongly suggest that you backup critical files on your boot drive, and then do a clean wipe and fresh install of everything including OS and FCS
