Okay so my website is www.gfieldallstars.com and I am hosting my full length video on it, Its a large file almost 500mb and the lower res one is 250mb. When people are trying to download this it take a very long time or it gets about half way and stops. Does anyone know why this is? The link to the high res one is www.gfieldallstars.com/finalweb.mov and the link to the low res one is www.gfieldallstars.com/gfa.mov Is there anyway i can speed up the download time without cutting down the size/quality?

500 MB for what video resolution? Run time?

Anyway. Slowdown may be caused by someone who's using a download leecher, which attempts several simultaneous connections to the server, slowing down the whole hell. You should search your server logfile for suspicious entries.

Also, it may be connection dependent (you experience different speeds depending on where you're conncected from, due to the network traffic.)

P.S. I'm downloading at 200kbps right now.
