I'm kinda new to the DVX100B and hope someone can solve a problem for me. I was shooting today and all was well. I put the cam in the case for lunch, came back, set it up to shoot again, and the zoom servo was dead.
I know about the switch below the lens (servo-manu), and have moved it back and forth several times to make sure it is in servo. I switched the handle zoom setting to L/M/H, I tried the handle zoom and the toggle, and even the remote control.
The servo seems dead unless there is some other way to deactivate it that could have happened inadvertently when I put it in the case.
The camera is 3 months old and has less than 30 hours on it.
And the manual zoom was NOT used with the switch in the servo position.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions, or sharing a similar experience. Surely the servo could not quit after three months.
