Help with Video Out!

I just tried to hook up my F3 to external EVF and getting no signal. Tried with a different monitor, both HDMI and SDI and still no signal.


I tried every setting under the video output options and still no luck. Even tried uninstalling S-Log option.


Any advice?

In part, it depends on a match between what the monitor expects and the camera is outputing. PsF for example. Both SDI and HDMI are peculiar about this. Check the monitor manual first then set the camera to what's expected. 60i, 24p, 30p, etc.

SDI progressive is always buried in a non-progressive format for example. Some monitors I never could get to work together.

You don't have to uninstall S-Log. Just turn it off. In the back of my mind I seem to recall someone saying that HDMI is turned off with S-Log but I've never tested it.
 
Thanks all. I got it to work by using the SD (rather than HD) output of the HDMI -- I think the Small HD DP4 only takes SD.
 
I use my DP4 with the F3 through HDMI and don't have to send it SD. I only rent/borrow F3's, so I don't have one to menu browse right now, but I seem to remember having to set the HDMI/SDI output on the F3 to basic 23.976, not PsF or 60i or anything special.

I doubt that helps, but just saying that the DP4 doesn't need to be fed an SD signal in order to work!
 
It definintly works... '

I use my DP4 all the time in HD.

Make sure the camera is set to 59.94 on the output with 2/3 pulldown. 24psF wont work.
