Help with Stripped Tripod Input on EX-1

Hey guys,

Don't usually speak much, but have a very important question which I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere.

The tripod input screw on the bottom is stripped from taking my monopod on and off so many times. It looks like this whole plate can be easily replaced, its just held in by a few small screws...the question is, where do I find that part?

Has anyone had this happen? and what to do?

Thanks!

If your 1/4" screw hole has stripped out then the base plate mentioned above will be great for you. It attaches through the 3/8" hole and several small screws to distribute the stress.

There are several advantages for you too. If you only replace the stock mounting plate you'll again be mounting your camera with a small plastic plate.

The add-on base plate is all metal, has many more mounting holes for balance options, and the threads are less likely to strip. Its sturdy, fast and easy.
