Help with Quality!!!

On the first grab; that's the nature of what you are shooting; a dude against a bright sky. Under ideal conditions you'd want to bounce some light onto your talent; this would allow you to dial down (Underexpose/IRIS) the sky somewhat while still having enough light on the dude for proper exposure.

On the second grab; man that's just some nasty inerlace artifacts there.

Honestly, with the camera your using; I'm not sure what kind of quality you are expecting.

Interlacing, i can just Delance it right? Wouldn't it fix that?
I'm trying to improve Grab 2, thats mine. Grab 1 isn't mine.

What you really need to do is buy a book on digital film making and learn the basics. No one here is going to give you a film making 101 class. It is fairly simple stuff that you can teach yourself by reading a few hours a day and playing with your camera. Dont worry about quality right now. There are a lot of other things you need to learn first and you can learn that with any camera of any quality. Badly framed and over exposed 1080i footage is going to suck just as much as 8mm poorly framed and over exposed. But to allow you to stop obsessing over picture quality - your not going to get great picture quality on that camera. But dont let that stop you as you can still do great things with it (As in learn the basics). Do that, then come back.
