Hello. A person in the area wants me to provide my equipment to rent with me and a partner. How much should I charge him? also what constitutes a day is it 5 hrs? please let me know thanks. Here is what im bringing to them.

Hvx200 with two batteries (One 2hr. the other 6hr.), A flycam 5000 with vest. Two P2 Cards each at 64gb. A Boom Pole and a boom mic (NTG-2 XLR) Two XLR Cables, Ikan v8000HD monitor with 4 batteries. Letus extreme 35mm adapter with rails and follow focus system. A Manfrotto 503 tripod with all adapters. A mattebox, 50mm 1.4 lens. With two experienced cinematographers.
I am just wondering what the going rate would be per hour and so on. I love my equipment and I don't want to get ripped off. Any help will be apreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you were a veteran professional who was being hired regardless of his gear, and were quoting a day rate for a two-man crew with that list of equipment, it'd be in the ballpark of $1200-$1500/day. And a day is 10 hours.

Since you're not that veteran professional (I assume, since you're here asking the question, that this is instead a first-time outing for you) then those rates are obviously going to be adjusted downwards to what you feel comfortable with.

Thanks Barry. No I have been filming for years it's just I always worked for a sallery never as a freelance. Also I used to do free lance weddings and so on but that is a whole new ballpark.

I would second Barry's estimate.
It seems quite fair for what you offer the client and you should not lower it too much.

If you chose to lower the rate, try and exclude some of the equipment.
