GH5 Help with Metabones Speedbooster Tripod Plate Solution

Hi,
I have the Metabones Ultra. 71x EF to M43 paired my with the Sigma 18-35 for my GH5.

I do a lot of event work and have to quickly swap lenses so timing is always an issue. Currently, I have to unscrew the tripod plate to remove the adaptor/lens, put on another lens, and put the plate back on. May not sound like much, but the few extra seconds I can save by not having to do this would be super helpful.

Does anyone know of a solution that will allow you to quickly release the adaptor/lens without having to unscrew the plate every time?

Thank you!

Would a tripod plate riser work?

You could just take the foot off of the speedbooster. If you're not screwing the foot to the tripod plate or a cage, it's not doing anything anyways, might as well get it out of the way.

+1

I removed the bottom plate from all my SpedBoosters right after I encountered this issue.

You could mount a lens support for the Sigma lens without having it bolted to the lens or the adapter.

i.e. no foot on the Metabones adapter and a U or V shaped lens support an inch or two out from the camera to take the weight off the camera mount
