Help with Intercom Setup with Panasonic Studio System

We have three HPX370's with studio systems (CCU and Base Station) in a mobile hd flypack and need a solid intercom solution with IFB. It'll be integrated with a Tricaster 850.

Right now we're looking at Clear-Com but the prices are a turn off. A 4 channel party line with wireless belt packs is running us near $15k. Telex prices are higher.

Channel A - Common
Channel B - Cameras
Channel C - Floor Directors / Stage Managers
Channel D - Open

There has got to be a cheaper just as effective way to do this. I'd like to integrate the built in intercom from the CCU at each camera but that requires a 4 wire interface to each base station which is $1000 alone. Then we need a way to communicate to talent via IFB from a main station. Wireless is for our floor directors and stage managers. Everyone else typically stays put.

Please help us or suggest a more feasible solution. I'd even consider smashing all the intercom to one channel. We still need to consider IFB.

If not, we're going to just buy the clear-com system. I just don't want to be a fool and buy something when there are other options. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have experience with Clear-Com setups? I figure I ask here 1st since the forum is appropriate for Panasonic setups and integration.

Ipods are being used now for wifi wireless systems. Cost savings and very reliable, $300 vs $1800 per station. Intercom over IP is also wireless.

Hi do you have any more details on this system as I am researching low cost wireless solutions for a pub based OB and need a low cost solution, I was looking at in ear monitors but it there is some software that can use wireless IP to do more than just IFB feeds that would be good.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but I wasn't sure of the details. It is part of the RTS V-Link series. The ipod and ipad apps will be on the Apple store probably in September. They talk about it on the RTS site. We are testing it in our studios.
