Help With Final Cut 6.0.5 Log and Transfer

So sometimes it wants to locate my clips, and sometimes it does not. I cant comprehend why FCP would be such a dick about it. Right now, i am trying to transfer some footage, but i'm not able to find any of the clips... I know how to do it, but it just wont find anything... Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
I know your problem. It's the plugins you have installed. I had the same problem until it got to the point where I couldn't get it to recognize anything. There is an easy solution, uninstall those useless plugins. I've got MagicBullet installed and nothing else... FCP recognizes every time now.
 
thanks, i also found that if you wait until you open the log and transfer window, then connect your camera, then close the window... when you open the log and transfer window the clips appear pretty quickly (30 sec). It worked 3 times in a row with new clips on the card.
 
Yeah... Once they're in the window they will remain there until you exit FCP or eject them.. I believe. You should really transfer your files over to your HD then transcode them. It's faster and it gives you a chance to backup the raw AVCHD files.
