couple of days ago i lent my camera to my friends and then i get it back and my computer cant even recognize it i tried so many things to get my computer to recognize it but nothing works and the night before i lent it to them it worked perfectly fine it says the driver is working properly but it doesnt get recognized please reply

First try the firewire connection on another pc. If the same thing occurs I would suggest that your firewire board on the cam itself has gone kaput. Did they use your camera to capture?
