Help with Chroma!!

Hey Guys!

I need to make a video with chroma-key of a couple dancing separately (full body image), so I can chop their heads on the post. Fun, right?

Like on this video here: http://danceheadsbrasil.com.br/index.htm
I need to make just the bodies dancing, the heads should be added after.

I was thinking of putting a cap on the dancers, so in post, the editor could level their heads to a single line. Gosh, I hope I'm expressing myself correctly.

Besides all that, the guy from the studio I was going to rent said the DVX100A wouldn't have enough definition to display their foot correctly.

What do you think?
Thanks for all your help in advance!

The shooting & keying can be done with the dvx no problem. I shoot keyed shots all the time with my DVXB. Bring the footage into after effects & use the plug in keylight. Put a super tight junk matte over the dancers & you'll be amazed at the quality of the key. (just make sure you light it right).

As far as cutting heads off & such, well, it seemed to me, from the type of footage you linked to, showed larger heads on the dancers. So you really just have to put the heads over the original dancers heads because they are bigger & will hide the original heads. (if i'm reading you right on this).

Anyway, bottom line is you can easily do this with the dvx & your resolution of the footage will be fine.
