I've been following this very handy downconvert procedure here:
http://www.precomposed.com/blog/2009/07/hd-to-sd-dvd-best-methods/
All has gone well until I put my Virtudub export into Encore. The source file was a PPro CS4 1920\1080i export which, as expected came out 16:9.
Using the following script:
hd2sd("HD_master.m2v", OutputColorSpace="YUY2", OutputBFF=true)
I get a vertically stretched 4:3... To counter this I added a resize filter in Virtudub which sucessfully exported a 16:9 but it needed a Full Recompress and the resulting quality was horrible.
Is it my script thats wrong or someting amiss in Virtudub?, I'm following the blog instructions to the 'T'.
Thanks
