Help! This Camera Doesen't Do 24p

OK I just got my HD100 and I set it on 24 p turned off motion smoothing started recording some footage with it and IT'S REALLY Staccato and NOT SMOOTH! It DOES NOT look like a film frame rate!!! What's going on? Can someone tell me why it doesen't render properly? It says HDV-HD24p but it's obviously not as fluid as 24 p. I pan or move the shot and it looks like some really crappy flash movie or some dank stripper on a web cam. Can someone please help me for the love of the lord! I just blew my last dime on this cam and it apparently doesen't render the framerate of film!!!! It also doesen't expose welll!!!!! HELPP! please tell me if it's true 24p

How do I get fluid frame rate like in nate weaver's dirthouse music video!!!!! OH HELP!

What's your shutter speed set to? 48?
 
(1) If you just record your 24p footage to tape and then play it back in the camera (with output to an HDTV), does it look smooth then? How are you viewing your footage? (2) You didn't tell us anything about what you're using to "render" the video. Is it possible your computer (Mac? PC?) just isn't high-powered enough to play back 1280x720x24P MPEG-2 video without glitching? If you post a short snippet of your recording (as m2t), we can take a look at it.

Maestro,

Given the samples of work you've seen, do you really think the camera design is faulty?

Something is wrong with your shooting, or something is wrong with your monitoring.

(P.S. and to say the camera doesn't expose well is like saying a car doesn't drive itself well)
