Hi, I just got back from shooting a documentary for four months. I have a hundreds of tapes to screen. The other day my team sat down to screen our tapes though the camera using RCA cables and and an NTSC TV. When we started to watch the tapes the image was terribly off. It was choppy, loooked liked some frames were dropping out, speeded up a bit. Basically unwatchable. My camera is a NTSC camera and a I shot everything in 24p, (not 24p advanced). We tried different tapes but there was the same problem. The footage looks fine whein played on my computor and oddly enough when played on a PAL TV. I don't get it, The only thing that was able to do to six this problem was to input footage into Final Cut Pro and than output it back to a new DV tape. When I played this new DV tape through my camera onto an NTSC TV it looked fine, The thing is I don't have time to do this to all my tapes. Has anybody had a similar problem, Could it have to do with the pull-down in the camera/ Why does it work when I put it through FCP??
Any input would be greatly appreciated as we have a lot of tapes to screen.I have posted about this issue here before but everybosy just says i must have a PAL camera. I don't for sure. Thanks!! Bernard
