Seeking side-by-side comparisons and/or shoot-outs for AG-DVX100A and Sony PD150 or 170 to persuade remaining members of my local cable commission of the virtues and values of this unit over others.... Can anyone direct me to RECENT independent, comparative reviews?
Thank you for your time and consideration!

ProMax did a side by side with the PD150. They are in Irvine California. A Google seach under promax dvx100 should get you there. If not try Panasonic DVX100 VS. Sony PD 150 They had a free DVD for awhile showing the shoot off. 8)

Thanks for the references: After extensive research - and the discovery of the 100A's for @$2700-2800 from a couple of different resources, it looks as though that will be my recommendation for the commission to acquire (especially in light of the fact that we intend to stream content to the 'net, and the 100A has a specific shooting mode for that purpose!)...

yeah, definitely don't buy from any of the sites you listed--unless you want a camera with no power supply or batteries and an indonesian warranty.

go to resellerratings.com before you buy from anybody & check out the reviews. you're bound to have a few complaints (people mainly post on sites like this because they want to rant), but if there are two thousand posts and nearly 90% negative (i.e. broadway), you might want to avoid that store.

try B&H or Profeel.com (I bought mine from Profeel--delivered to my door the next afternoon!). It might cost you a bit more, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
