Help Securing Zaza Slider to Head

I have a 1.2 meter Igus slider that was predrilled and then I tapped it. I was wondering what all of you are doing about mounting it. I have tried it on my Sachtler and there are not nearly enough threads to hold it. I should have just bought a solid rail I think. Are you all installing a nut on top to secure it?? I tried two stands on the end, and again, it's useable, but still pretty wonky. I had hoped to use it as a sliding jib with my sachtler and another head but it's way too wonky for that. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

You might want to try drilling a new hole right next to the middle hole and tapping it, that will give you more threads to work with. The slight offset shouldn't affect the ballance.

Other than that, get yourself a QR system, attach the base to the tripod, attach the plate to the rail...and you're off!

If using a single tripod in the center, be sure to sandbag it as the extra length of your slider will want to cause it to tip as you get to either end of the slide.
