I was out shooting some atv shots the other day and now i've got sand in my focus ring and iris wheel. Is there any easy way to take these apart? or do i have to take it to a tech.

Aside from just using a strong vacuum source to try to extract the sand/grit for the outside, or unless you are a really skilled camera tech, this is not something you should tackle yourself.

In the future, bag the camera when in these types of conditions.

You could try one of those compressed air cans, but that might blow the sand particles to worse locations in the cam. If you are technically inclined, you could probably take the cam apart, but those things are like a jig-saw puzzle to put back toghether sometime, plus you would probably void your warranty.
It might be a good idea to take it to a tech, and get your battery tabs in the back replaced at the same time.
