Help reading P2 MXF files

Help! I have a corrupt volume on my Panasonic P2 Store, which causes FCP5 to crash. I've successfully copied the contents onto my MacPro's HD, and I can see the contents of the CONTENTS folders and sub folders. The ICON folder contains .BMP files which correctly represent the clips I need to extract. So now I'm left with trying to bring in this collection of clips by finding something that can interpret this CONTENTS folder structure, or the MXF files (in the VIDEO and AUDIO subfolders), or the XML files in the CLIP subfolder.

I tried FCP5 Import/XML but it tells me to "Choose a translation document file", which I do not understand what it is asking for, or how to provide it.

Flip4Mac seems to have product for MXF files, the seem specific to Sony.

Does anyone know have a suggestion of how to proceed?

First, what happened to your LASTCLIP.TXT file, and what version of FCP are you running, 5 point what?

You could try to repair it with P2 Log, they have some new product that does repairs. I only have 1.0.3 and have never used the newer proudct with the repair function. But it's supposed to help. One of their people called me up once asking about some MXF batch that wouldn't repair. Don't know why they called me for advice about a product I've never used, though...
