HELP...quick like! Replacing a broken screw in bottom plate

My tripod plate screw in the bottom of my dvx100 cracked and I just received the replacement piece. I have unscrewed all the little screws from the bottom, but still can't get into the camera. I'm worried about pulling or pushing anything too hard...what should I do.

Is there an outline or website that could explain how to replace this part?
 
you could call and ask a servive center to see if they know if you dont get a respose soon enough. sounds like a pain. :(
