HELP -- Print to Video in Final Cut Pro 5 to P2

I'm trying to output 720p/24N from FCP to an empty p2 card via the HVX.

I put the camera into MCR/VCR mode and then hit the dub button to exit the thumbnail viewer. In the VCR/MCR screen, the camera will not allow recording to begin when I depress the two record buttons. The remote will not work either.

I have followed the advice of Apple's white paper on the issue, as well as the HVX manual. No picture reaches the HVX. Can anyone help?
 
I had the same problem. But what you need to do is set the camera to record in whatever the compressor settings are in FCP. If its 720p/24N that your working with then the compressor is going to be 720p 60p. So you need to change this in the camera's record settings and when you do you will see the footage from FCP in the LCD of your HVX. The worst thing about this is that it chews up the space on your P2 card rather quickly.
