HELP PLEASE

I know this thread belongs in the vegas forum but i though i may be a fast responce here...

I am trying to create a ghots like effect, by filming the scene with no actors, then filming it again with actors in keeeping the same camera angles. And what i want to do is turn down the opacity(if that is the right word?) of the shots with the actors in then over lap it on the shot with no actors giving me a hopefully ghost like effect..

So my question being how do I turn down the opacity, and secondly how do i over lap to the shots?

I'd help if could but I've only had Vegas for two weeks. You'll probably get a faster response in the Vegas forum.
You can also check out pg. 114 of the Vegas manual (Vegas50_manual.pdf on the CD) That should get you started.

k. Put the ghost track above the normal track.

Put your mouse pointer on the top edge of the ghost track, somewhere away from the endpoints so the fade thingies don't appear.

Anyway, the text saying something like Opactity at such-and-such is 100%.

Left click and drag down until the opacity is something less than that.

See if that gives you the effect you want.
