Hello,
my first post in this section.
the other week we were shooting a commercial and the service provided us a JVC HD-100 for the day
We shot in 25p 720p.
Successively, acquisition to Hard Disk was made with another camera of the same model, by different people from the service people.
the problem is that most of the footage came ok to the hard disk, but there's a 'hole' of 18 mins where just the audio is there, but the video goes blue. after that, back ok with audio and video.
now we are starting panicking that those images are lost forever. the acquisition people claimed they weren't able to get the video to work in the "bad" part.
i'm trying to contact the same guys of the service to see what happened and see if it's some stupid setting problem, assuming they know..
do u guys have an idea of what could have happened on the field and how to fix the prob?
also, when shooting, at the beginning, we had temporarily problems with the playback of recorded footage on the LCD (not live though) until they found the needed setting (they put something on 'auto') to properly display the footage on screen. that made me understand the whole format issue may be complex..
somebody suggested the video cable connecting the lens to the camera body might have been temporarily disconnected, but we constantly monitored the video on both the LCD display and on a external field monitor and it was ok alll the time.
please HELP!
Andrea
