Help! Nothin' talks to each other!

So I want to stay on the cutting edge with my music videos I do for my local Cable TV show and started seeing stuff about the HVX200. Well, I finally got one. Then I became a beta tester for DV Rack HD thinking I could record to it and drop the AVI files into PPro 2. Nope. Won't play AVI 1 at all, and only plays AVI 2 sound. Downloaded the test version of Aspect HD. It doesn't recognize the DV rack files either. Am I missing something or is there no solution for recording directly from the camera in HD to my computers hard drive or one of it's external drives? I don't mind getting the software if it would just work, but I can't see paying the cost of a P2 store with only a 60 gig drive with it costing as much as a real good lap top! I have spent the last month researching this (this forum is great by the way) til my eyes won't focus from reading from a monitor (ha ha).

Has anybody figured out a work flow to go from the HVX thru firewire to a computer, hopefully thru DV Rack and then be able to edit in PPro 2? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

:dankk2:,

Right now, the DVCProHD AVI files are only recognized natively by Canopus Edius, because Edius has a codec built-in.

Please e-mail me (ksoule (at) seriousmagic (dot) com) for some more information.
