HELP!!!! No Headphone Output!!

last week i had a shoot & i noticed that my headphones were not working with the DVX. the levels were moving, i had a slight hiss coming from the right side, but no audio.

i figured it was the headphones because they were pretty old and beat up, but i tried it again with a new, perfectly operational pair when i got home & got the same results.

could i have changed anything in the menus that could have caused this? also, i just started using a boostaroo audio amp on the shoot prior to this--could that have caused a mechanical problem in the camera? (btw, i have tried monitoring with and without the boostaroo attached, to no avail).

any help would be greatly appreciated.

On the top of your cam to the left of your menu area, there is a place to adjust your monitoring level...try that out. I freaked out over the same thing about a week ago!

hmm... to me it also happened.. (or is it something else?!) no audio monitoring out of a sudden. but i just had to turn the camera off and on again and sound was back.

thanks for the tips, guys, but no luck--i turned the monitor volume all the way up & i've shut off & on many times (both AC and battery) to no avail. the sound comes through the internal speaker all right, but only a loud static hum through the right channel of the headphones and no audio whatsoever.

my guess is that the headphone jack is fried. i'll be pissed if the damn $20 boostaroo is what caused this.

should the warranty cover this or would i be better off just taking it to an electronics repair shop?

Warranty should cover it, and I cannot conceive how the Boosteroo could have done it.
