You need several folders on you card. The first time I tried I couldn't get it to work I had just copied the Scene.txt and that didn't work then I saved the default ones onto the card and noticed the folder structure and that's when it made sense.
Anyhow you need the following:
PRIVATE\MEIGROUP\PAVCN\SBG\P2SD\SCENEFILE.TXT

There's a readme.txt on the CD that explains the procedure. As elias said, you need that directory structure, and then copy the files from the CD into that directory, then go into the card functions menu and load the scene files you want.

I had the same problem. The first bit it easy,,, its loading them from the card functions menu that falls apart. In the end I just manually entered the settings in of the scene files I wanted.

When I go into the menu: SceneFIle / Card Read/Write then select read, the scene files names are there, but when I selct the file I want and hit Read, I get an error message saying "Read Failed" "Ilegal file format".

I'm at wits end.

Which camera do you have? Are you loading the scene files from the proper directory? The scene files for the HMC150 are different than the ones for the 151 or the 152...

Hi Barry,, I simply copy the whole Private folder from the CD to my card using the correct HMC152EN file.

It may be that when I put the card back into my camera i'm missing something but the only way I can physically see anyhting on the card is by going into SceneFile, then read, but when I try and read the file its gives the error.

The card functions menu gives me no options apart from Card Format or Card Status.

Copying the PRIVATE folder is the right thing to do... but I don't know why it isn't working. It should... hmmm. Can you save some scene files from your camera and then upload them to your member upload page and PM me the link?

I had this same problem, very aggravating. Open the text files on your card and also open the text files you want to copy. Select all the text from the ones you want to copy and hit copy, then hit select all on your camera card and paste. Save that and try loading. It was the only thing that worked for me, and it sucks when you just bought a bunch of cards and have to copy and paste to each one, but that was all that worked.

It was weird, too, because everything inside each text file looked the same. And I was copying what had worked for another card, but it only worked on my new ones when I copied what was actually inside each text file. Hope it works; I know it sucks when you can't move it over!

Bingo Barry! I found the problem.

The .txt file folders on the CD are labled correctly for each model of HMC but when you actually look at the text file itself for the 152EN, at the top where is has the info eg/ version and camera model,,, it has HMC151E. What I did was go in and change all of those to HMC152EN and save them. Pop the card back into the camera and it worked perfectly!!!
Thanks for all your endeavours to help me out!

Sigh. You are correct, somehow the 151E files got put in the 152EN directory. For any 152EN users, follow the procedure shaun1970 did and you'll get working files.
