Help me survive Superbowl Week!

Ok, anyone who has ever lived thru their hometown hosting the Superbowl, please help! I am a generally routine-dependent individual. I suffer thru and survive the madness that is the PGA thingy we do every year, but I've never seen anything like this. One of the nicer clubs around here has got Outkast having a party one night, and Sean Puffy P. Diddy Daddy Combs having a party another night, Paris Hilton having one another night.... And the news reported lastnight that there will be a charge of $10 to drive thru the parking lot of the place for a chance to see a celebrity. There are limos driving around in my 'hood (they MUST be lost), tour busses. I would never make it in a real crowded city. I live as far away from the city I could get without making Atlantis my home. I shall stockpile food and dvd's and books, I guess. :(

Terri, go ask P-diddy and outcast if you can shoot their behind the scene parties. Gee, that kinda sounds fun.  ;D

If you get a chance can you run down Paris Hilton with your car?

Can't stand her. Dumb as a block of cheese. Why she gets so much exposure is way beyond me.

I took the Friday before and the Monday after Superbowl off work, just to keep me outta traffic. I'm afraid my violent road rage would peak on those days, if any.

Me and beat up Civic wouldnt be able to get into the parking lot. They'd be like "no, huh-uh...no way...your money's no good here." haha!!!

And if I filmed anything, it would be the people who are paying the $10 to drive thru the Leopard Lounge/Plush's parking lot. That blew my mind... :o

K - Just so I understand... People are paying $10 to drive through the parking lot? Like, in and straight out? To *maybe* see a celebrity? Ok - I hate society right now, allot.

That's a pretty good idea.

Show just how absurd our celebrity hungry society is. Just like that doc on "trekies" Probably painful to do the shooting but you could end up with some nice footage of fanatics.

Edit: Release forms would be a no brainer - These nut jobs would fall over themselves to be in a movie!

It won't wash off...
Your friends will shun you...
People will point...
Animals will flee...

and

You must live with the stigma of associating with "psudo celebs"...


I've met many over the years...the only good thing about them, is when they leave. ;)

Honestly, most these "celebs" are complete loosers. Certainly not the type of person I would hang out with. I may be just biased because I was born in Alaska and live in Montana though. There certainly seem to be plenty of people who disagree with me!

Well, I try not to judge people I haven't actually met. And even then I know that I only see a portion of their life. Rarely enough to truly understand them. I know that we all have our gifts, talents and hopes.

Blah Blah Blah.

True as all of that is, I do not understand why some people are famous and why anyone cares.

The one thing I would disagree with in your article is that not all of the celebrities were liberal. I spied Tom Selleck taking calls.
