Success - found a sub hundred-dollar 150 watt daylight HID bulb/ballast/base solution - converted an old fresnel and it's just tits.
So that's great when I need a fresnel... but I'd like a more efficient fixture solution for bounce & diffusing. What else is out there that takes a G12 bipin globe?
I've been using the 575 watt Flexipar when I need super-efficient tungsten bounce - for a $100ish fixture, that thing's intense, but takes a G9.5.
Anyone using open face, par, etc. fixtures (and are there any fresnels out there) with G12?
