Help me for color correction

I've already tried many many times, but I still don't succeed in rightly color correct these clips; it is very difficult because I should change these color clips in black and white but also apply a day for night effect (the scene is taking place at night), for a noir short that I'm shooting:

these two grabs are part of the same shot (panning)

Could you please help me in the color correction???

try adding a cooler temperature cc filter to the footage..magic bullet is what I use and I can almost always get the color to match exactly what I want it to.

If only Vegas's lens flares didn't have all those stupid extra circles, it would look so much better.

lol, that looks good, but those lense flares look silly, should do it in after effects :p

This is a really hard one I must say!

Tried to make it look somewhat late:

And just because it's so poo pooing hot outside, I had to make a hot-summer version :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

How exactly did you achieve this look? I'm curious!

Waaait a min. Everyone got it wrong. I just realised its gotta be B and W'd. Damn...I can't seem to get anything that looks good in black and white...even in photoshop without doing anything that'll be easily replicated in premiere.

Thank you guys, you are great!!!!

I think that the xep5k, the MiniMan and above all the tjohara99 version could be good even in b&w...

I would like to try something similar: I've just got Final Cut Pro Studio, what settings do you suggest for color correction like yours? I would like to have a screencapture of your color correction window, if you can.

Thank you again :love4:

what's the big dealio? at least in terms of the general look - sure you have to get fancy for the headlights and you'll have to tone back the white lines but its not like you have actors faces your trying to see ...

for BW night can't you just ..
remove chroma
reduce contrast
make it darker ... ?

It's almost impossible to make believable fake-night from shot 3 for example because of the blown-out areas in the pic.

I would mask those blown out skies and replace them or make them darker. I doubt you can pull that off in FCP tough... Would be an easy task with AE.

And using a filter like that?

Maybe I could obscure the sky with the filter and following apply CC just using FCP... what do you think?

you can only get soo close, and i think people have posted as close as your gunna get, especially since the car sems to be shooting light into nothing. If there was a way to key the highlights, but probably not as its shot in day and the lights are probably almost as bright as the outside light source.

i made my own version in ae and i think this looks pretty realistic, tell me what u guys think
