HELP?MATCHING 30p/24p and SLOW Mo???

Firstly, I am planning on using my DVX to film my sister's wedding in July and want to be fully prepared. I would like to use the setting that I find yields the best image quality (24p), however, I might be using a second camera, the Canon GL2 to have multiple angles of the same event? Can I shoot in 24p AND 30p and bring them both into the same NLE timeline? Or, do I have to 'dumb down' the DVX and put it into 30p mode? And, if I HAVE to put the DVX into 30p mode, will the cine-like V feature give me a satisfactory look that at least has some characteristics of film? I realize it's video but I am thinking I might be stuck using 30p here for the extra angles.

Secondly, will slow motion from a NLE system work with 24p? 30p?

Sorry to ask so many questions here but I am trying not to forget anything.
For any and all input thanks a lot.

PS For those of you tempted to suggest that I use the "search" feature because "a lot of these questions have been answered recently" trust me I have. I am saturated with information. I'm at the point of being desperate AND confused.

Come on people-
SOMEbody has to have good advice for me?
ANYbody???

lol ...

Lets see ... if you plan on using the GL2 and the DVX, to spare yourself a headache, I would shoot in 30p with the DVX and the Frame Movie mode with the GL2 (shooting 24p will make it much harder to match up the GL2 and DVX motion wise). If you are hell bent on 24p though, you can shoot 60i with the GL2 and use something like Nattress's framerate conversion filters to get 60i to 24p footage (although I would assume the DVX's 24p will be superior, although I hear good things about the Nattress filters - it should make the footage work well together). I do see a problem with the Gamma curves as both of those cameras interpret color quite differently enough to make it a chore to match the footge. I suppose you can color correct it in post, but the question is ... do you want to spend the time doing it?

As for slow motion, 24p isn't very good for it. Remember, you are sampling your image less frames per secong, giving your NLE less motion information to work with. 30p is better for this, although it still may make it difficult. 60i would be your best bet.

Good luck!

Thanks Galvan-
What you are telling me makes complete sense. Nattress? This is the first time I am hearing of this software. I am surely going to look into it.
