Help! Is my camera broken Servo mechanism?

My DP who supposedly was familar with my new DVX200 rotated the zoom ring with force, when the ZOOM switch was set to SERVO.

Now the both the servo and manual zoom seem to be working, but when the ZOOM switch is set to SERVO it is very loose. Not like before.

How do I know if he damaged my camera?

There have been reports of this damage being possible. It would be hard to say for sure without knowing exactly how much give there is and compared to normal. This is one of the biggest gripes I have in our business. We work with people that break our stuff.... or handle it without certainly knowing what NOT to do.
