Abroad at the moment, how do I connect a HPX250 to my apple mac to extract the video from the P2 cards.

There are two USB connectors at the rear, one is a micro, I connected it to my mac switched the camera to playback but nothing happened, my old faithful Af101 will warn me before it connects to my mac.

thanks in advance

Thanks, but I dont have the manual and my internet connection is terrible, I tried clicking on the link you supplied and it crashed. Im in China at the moment.

You have to switch the camera to pc mode by holding the power switch to the right. Are you using P2 Viewer Plus to transfer the files?

Yup, just hold the power switch to the right for a few seconads, the LCD will change to USB, after you have the cable connected and Mac on. You will see the new hard drive on you desktop. Just copy the complete P2 card, everything to a folder on your Mac. If you have Adobe Premire you can view it once it is offloaded or you can view it direct from the P2 card while connected to the camera. This is how I have done it since I got my camera, have never lost any footage or any issues. P2 viewer is ok, if you dont have adobe but its just a viewer only, quality and distoration normally happens, so dont judge your footage using the viewer. Its just for viewing.

Back home now, thanks all..... I also had to go into the menu settings to change an item but it worked. My internet access was terrible.
