Help installing P2 Drivers for HPX Please

Guys,

I've been trying to install the P2 drivers for my HPX-170 on my laptop (PC). I have a PCMCIA Card/Buss slot
for the P2 card to dock to.

I've read the instructions on the Utility Software disk and followed the instructions.

Place the P2 Card in the laptop. Hit cancel for the setup Wizard. Install from the
Utility Software disk until I come to this. "The installer will install AG+HPX-170 (P2
handheld) USB driver. Please contact AG+HPX-170 by USB 2.0".

So I hookup the camera with the cable, turn it on and hit install (several times) but nothing installs. I hit cancel
and it says the drivers has been installed. But when I reboot, I see the P2 logo on the taskbar, put in the P2 Card and "found new hardware" comes up with the Wizard.

I've been looking on Panny's site for a PCMCIA/Card Buss driver but haven't found
anything yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Barry,

Thanks for replying. I went to the link you posted and this is what it says.

Barry,

I'm an idiot! I was so focused on the driver for the HPX-170 that I completely
bypassed the very first one on the list for the Card/Buss driver.

After I realized my myopic mistake, I selected the Card/Buss driver and it installed
fine. The P2 card was seen as well.

I opened Premiere Pro, dragged it into the timeline and it opened fine. I guess if
there was audio, I would have to go to the audio folder and import it as well. Y/N?

Also, what driver do I use for my main NLE which is running Windows XP Pro x64bit?

Again, thanks very much.

Mark

If you choose to import files and navigate into the P2 "video" directory and choose files there, it should automatically bring in the audio with it.

I don't know what you mean by "what driver"; I assume you mean there's no PCMCIA slot on it? I'd suggest getting one, they're cheap (like $80 or so) or you can always just use the 170 as a card reader by installing the USB driver.

No PCMCIA slot and I don't have any open space in my PC to put a card in.

Guess I'll look into installing the 170 USB driver.

Thanks.
