Help! I don't think my DVX is displaying correctly in Premiere

I have the Panasonic Anamorphic Adapter LA-7200 and I'm trying to get a 1.85:1 image. I was led to believe that the camera should be set at Normal instead of Letterbox or Squeeze..

When I go into Premiere, the image either isn't wide enough or it's squeezed, depending on whether I choose to import from Standard or Widescreen Panasonic 24P. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Help is appreciated.

Sean there are a lot of threads discussing this... but I will give you a quick answer anyway. On project right click the captured file and select interpret footage.. then under Pixel Aspect Ratio select conform to and select D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2). Problem solved. If you want an 1.85:1 image you will need to further crop.
