help! i bought a gh1 flashed to version 1.4

hello people, recently i just got a gh1 2nd hand, the seller told me that it's cracked, telling me that i can switch between pal and ntsc, record native 24p and stuff. but i have no idea how to operate this thing. seems like when i change the pal and ntsc in the video out option doesnt change the recording fps. it seems to be everything is normal, unlike hacked, but sadly the versions showed on the body is 1.4. i tried the ptools with firmware higher than mine, full battery. but it just show nothing to display. what should i do now?
 
just checked the ptool after your post. i think if you select version change and enter version increment: 15 > it brings you to v1.41 and up... 16>v1.42... worth checking out!...?
P.S let me know if its like this. i'll soon be there... ;-)
 
ok i got pass this somehow, dunno what was wrong before, the problem is.. how do u switch between pal and ntsc?
 
No... You need to download ptool and official panasonic firmware

1. open ptool
2. Load firmware
3. Do changes you want to do ( some of them are experimental and for testers only) NTSC->PAL conversion or PaL -> NTSC conversion in your case. Don't forget to check version change and put higher number ( probably in your case 15 or 16)
4.Save firmware with the same name ( do not overwrite original GH1__132.bin, save it on different location)
5. Load new firmware in to your camera as described on panasonic website

That's it. Now you changed region.
You can't switch pal or ntsc in camera, only via patched firmware..
