Help Hvx/fs100 Issue

So I have finished shooting a Feature on my HVX-200 with the FS-100 firestore (with the original firmware) the camera worked wonderfully, however on day 10 of our 17 day shoot we realized that our DP had decided to delete the XML files associated with the first nine days of shooting assuming that we would be cutting on an AVID, we stopped this and days 10 - 17 look great. Days 1-9 however are now only viewable through the camera. When imported into AVID only a few files are viewable (problem apparently solved with firmware update) we spoke with AVID and there solution is to load everything into Final Cut and export quicktimes of the files however because of the deleted XML files Final Cut will not recognize theses files, we are wondering if there is anyway to recreate the missing XML files, or alter the information of an existing XML to solve this problem, or a possible work around in AVID. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly are the XML files used for? I've been editing in Avid and simply export the MXFs and nothing else into the Avid Media Files folder. I haven't had any problems getting my files to show up using this method. I've been using P2s though. Does the FS-100 differ?

the xml helps put the quicktime wrapper on allowing you too edit in Final Cut which is needed because AVID only recognizes a few files at a time off the firestore, the P2 differs because it only holds a few minutes where the firestore or a hardrive holds significantly more. There is a firmware update for the firestore which corrected the AVID issue but our DP neglected to update the firestore before shooting
