okie i kno it a simple task but havent try it be4

okie i shoot something with dvx from uni and i goan editing it afterward but this is no my project so i may need to make a copy of source tape for myseft.the question is how do i dub the second tape so it got the same time code at the orginal.i can get hold of dv desk ( more then 2 ) and dvx100 . can i just conect my dvx to the desk ?what is the best way to dub the tape ?

deck to deck is the best, but im sure cam to cam or cam to deck or deck to cam or cam to comp to cam or cam to comp to deck,.....etc... would work as well, apparantly its best not to use the heads in the camera too much as they wear out, decks are made to take more wear then a cam.

but how do i cable them ?
fire wire ? s video ? rca ??
it uni stuff so it not realy problem if it wear out the head (like ppl at uni care the person who take care of the camera not event check or clean it every time student borow it )

Firewire will transfer everything identical: Video/Audio/TimeCode.
Deck to Deck Firewire is your best way to go but DVX to Deck will work as well.
