Hi all, sorry about the duplicate post but, not getting much help in the cafe.I got my camera a couple of months ago and am absolutely blow away by it but, last week, I got a strange warning message when I turned it on. It said "warning psd ng". I've looked in the manual and all it says is that it has something to do with shake detection. I have no idea if this is a setting or an indication of some sort of problem. I should mention that I first noticed this when I used my new 6-hour battery for the first time, this could just be a coincidence though because it does it all the time now. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Paul.

Re: Help, getting warning message.

Hi Paul,

When you "get no help" on this forum replete with extremely helpful and experienced people, it usually means people have not encountered the problem and have no particular idea as to how to deal with it. There's not much point posting a "Gee, I have no clue !" message... but I understand it can be frustrating, so I'll respond to your request... in a negative manner, unfortunately, because I *do* have no clue, personally.

I even went through the crappy PAL manual to see if, by any chance, there would be something in there that wasn't included in the NTSC one, but no cigar. Sorry.

Re: Help, getting warning message.

Hey, thanks for the replies, I talked to someone from the place where I bought the camera and they seem to think it might be an isolated problem with my camera, hopefully nothing too serious. the reason I posted a second time was, I didn't see the technical section when I went to post the question and then I figured the technical section was where I should of posted in the first place. anyway, thanks again and I'll post my findings with this problem for future reference.

Re: Help, getting warning message.

Same thing happened with my camera...............My dealer replaced it with a new camera............ I only had 30 hrs. on it! It might be more serious than your dealer is letting on! Good Luck!

Re: Help, getting warning message.

unclemort, thanks for the reply. I was wondering if you could give me a little more info. I have a DVX100A, I've had it it for a couple of months but have only put about 6 hours on it ,the warning message seems to be Intermittent and goes away when I start recording. How does this match up to your situation and how hard of a time did you have rectifying the problem? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again,
Paul

Re: Help, getting warning message.

Paul, Are you able to move your ND filter switch back and forth with no problems! Mine jammed on me when the warning came on! If your warning is intermittant , It might be a minor adjustment/ repair! I would get this looked at ASAP! If something is jammed , I would try to get a replacement camera! Have you been using the OIS..............Many of us shooters don't use it [except for zoomed tripod shots] ........It seems to create artifacts when panning or tilting when shooting in 24P. Good Luck!
