I was shooting in Florida today (it was HOT) and my FS700 shut off randomly, which I'm assuming was due to overheating although I didn't receive any warnings or notifications. I managed to turn it back on a few minutes later but things were pretty screwy: iso bouncing around, settings changing from auto to manual without me touching anything etc. I turned the camera off and haven't been able to turn it on since. I'm assuming it's fried due to the high heat/humidity.
I have two days left on location and my client was counting on slow motion, we've settled on shooting the rest with my 5D with no slow-mo as I haven't been able to find a replacement locally for rent/purchase (we're now in Savannah, GA). Has any one had any experience with this or know of a way to reset the camera or have any other suggestions, or is my initially diagnosis of "toast" likely correct?
Thanks for the help!
