I have downloaded drivers for the HVX and using the usb to transfer footage. I open "MY Computer" to get the footage and when I click on it, it does not play any footage.

How do I get the footage to play?

Also, how do I get the P2 slots to work for PC. I can't find all the buttons that Barry recommends.

youre not going to be able to "play" the footage like you traditionally would with other formats. you need software that can work with it. p2cms as far as im aware is the only "free" way to do that.

ok so I went to the Panasonic site and downloaded P2 Card Format Station for Windows, and another update viewer. My software from the camera reads version 4.10. The footage plays in the viewfinder but not on the computer....?

update....I can view in the P2 Viewer.....is there a way to get this onto the desktop or into Vegas from here? The files are in avi. but wont play in Vegas. I tried Raylight Ultra but that doesn't do anything.

As mentioned in the Vegas section, if you shot to P2 card, there's no way the files are AVI. They're MXF. If you can play them in P2 viewer, then they're fine. You should be able to drop them onto the Vegas timeline with Raylight Ultra.

Thank you sir! By chance, do you know how to switch the P2 card slot form Mac to PC? I have one orange light and one green light.....

The P2 card slots are not "set" to anything Mac- or PC-related. The lights indicate which slot is in use by the camera.

That's only for the P2 Store. It's a separate device from the camera; has nothing to do with the HVX200.

The amount of record time you have on a card varies according to what format you shoot.
