Help deciding on Wireless Follow Focus

Hi,

I am in the market looking for a wireless follow focus. My budget is around $1500. My three main options are the:
Jag35 wireless v2
ikan air one
Cinegears 1 channel wireless

Any opinions on which of the three are the best? Also a major concern for me is how they hold up over time especially the locks for the rails. I always see and hear of the gears slipping off and then having to be overtightened to stay on.
Of course I would love to get a Preston or Bartech, but unfortunately its not in the budget right now, so i'll have to make due with one of these models.
Thank you for your help!

I'd ask this question over at RedUser.net - they have many more members using gear at this level.

(Actually, I'd do a search there first...)

And take a look at the RedRock system, too. I believe they have a wireless in their motorized line?

If it were me, I would save my money and wait till something like a used Bartech came up for sale at a good price. You won't be happy with a crappy wireless FF.

An analogue Bartech with a motor on the used market is between $3200 and $3500.

Element Technica has cheaper motors coming out. $1500 is way too low a figure for a single channel wireless follow focus setup in my opinion.

From what I've seen on Red User, the Cinegear looks very alluring and the Stephen (seller on Cinegears) even said if you didn't like the product you can just return it and get a refund with a 2 year warranty. I think I'd give it a try and just return it if it doesn't seem worth.
You guys can find their website on cinegears.com.

have three, a Preston Fi=z
, Varizoom, and a Redrock. The Redrock is the best deal out there, bar none. Stay away from Varizoom. The VZ is total trash and their customer service is beyond awful. If money is no object go for the Preston. Otherwise, get a Redrock you will not be disappointed.
