F3: HELP: cheapest way to record prores 444 from an Sony F3 with Slog upgrade

Hello guys

Just won an F3 on ebay and will also buy the Slog upgrade ( retailes now for 700 euros compared with 3500 3 years ago ) and i need to record Prores 444 put of it. Which cheap solution would you advice ?

Buy a used Pix 240(i)
or wait for CD to upgrade the FW on the Odyssey
I have both & the Pix is a workhorse recorder with a weak display
CD O7 has a stunning display & great focus tools - also records 1080 60p
when you set the F3 to 59.94 & record from the "A" port

I have an opportunity to buy a Gemini 444 in the well known white Peli case in mint condition for 900 euros but i know it does not record Prores but it has a recording option for 2k. What would you advice ?

I'd avoid the Gemini unless you're happy to deal with uncompressed DPX files. The quality is superb, but the file sizes are immense. A used PIX240 is the way to go. Gives you excellent audio inputs, ProRes4444 and a tonne of useful monitoring features (including the best false colour implementation I've ever come across).
